LG to make a TV that can trade and issue NFTs

LG is planning to jump on the NFT bandwagon by creating a TV that will be able to issue and trade non-fungible tokens.

This comes as no surprise, given the recent craze surrounding NFTs. They're planning to offer TV software for issuing and trading NFTs, as well as software for NFT and crypto transactions. Plus, they'll be offering digital token brokerage and wealth management services.

It's good to see that LG is getting on board with the NFT and blockchain craze. However, I can't help but feel that they're a bit late to the party. After all, there are already a number of established players in the space.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what LG has to offer. I'm sure that their experience in the T.V. and electronics industry will come in handy.

Audius, a web3 music service, implements tips for artists

Audius, a web3 music streaming service with 7 million active users implements the ability to tip the artists.

Fans can show their support by sending tips to their favorite artists using Audio, the platform's governance tokens. This system allows fans to directly support the artists they love, and provides a way for artists to finance their careers without having to rely on record labels or other middlemen.

Audio is a multi-chain token, trading both on Ethereum and Solana. The token is worth around 39 cents now, with a market cap of around $280 million.

The team behind Audius believes that tipping will help to create a more sustainable music ecosystem, where artists are fairly compensated for their work. In the long run, this could help to reduce piracy and give artists more control over their careers.

US lawmaker says “there's more urgency now” to regulate crypto

A US lawmaker has called for more regulation of the cryptocurrency industry, saying that "there's more urgency now" to do so. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand made the comments during Bloomberg’s 2022 Crypto Summit on Tuesday.

“Most of my colleagues were fairly alarmed with the different market impacts over the last couple of months, and the number one question is: does this regulation either prevent that or improve transparency and accountability? Does it improve safety and soundness? Does it improve consumer protections? And obviously, the answer is yes, that's why we wrote the bill."

The lawmaker was referring to the Bipartisan Responsible Financial Innovation Act, which she co-sponsored with Sen. Cynthia Lummis. The bill would exempt cryptocurrencies from securities laws, as well as establish a regulatory framework for digital assets.

So there you have it. One more politician that is pushing for crypto regulation. But would this actually help the industry as the politicians claim? Only time will tell.
